Home Energy Survey Provider Accreditation Application for Accredited Rating Providers

The annual fee for accreditation as a Home Energy Survey Provider is $1,750.00. There is a non-refundable application fee of $500. If the application for accreditation is approved the $500 application fee will be credited to your accreditation fee. If you are already a Rating Provider there is a onetime application fee of $500 to become a Home Energy Survey Provider.

Part Two: Criteria for Accreditation

2. Please provide a copy of your organization Minimum In-Home Energy Survey Report as required in 704.1.2.6.

3. Please describe your process for compliance with RESNET Standard section 703.1.1.1.1 – Performance evaluation of ability to perform accurate Home Energy Surveys in accordance with RESNET Standards sections 704. Please be as specific as possible.

 

4. Please describe your process for meeting RESNET Standard section 703.1.1.1.2 – Continuing Education.

 

5. Please describe your process for meeting RESNET Standard section 703.1.1.1.3 – Home Energy Survey Professional Testing.

 

6. Please describe your process for meeting RESNET Standard 703.1.1.1.4 -Recertification of Home Energy Survey Professionals.

 

7. Please attach an unexecuted copy of your Home Energy Survey Professional written agreement to this application. Agreements must at a minimum meet the requirements of RESNET Standards section 703.1.1.1.5. Please note that the RESNET Code of Ethics must be attached to the agreement.

8. Please attach your organization’s Policies and Procedures Manual. The manual must include at a minimum the requirements described in RESNET Standard section 703.1.4.

  • The Policies and Procedures Manual must include a detailed description of the process, procedures and reports required for a home energy survey professional to complete the In-Home Energy Survey.
  • The Policy and Procedures Manual must address how your organization will determine and document that potential home energy survey professional candidates have the minimum skills required to conduct the In-Home Energy Survey.
