The annual fee for accreditation as a Home Energy Audit Provider is $1750.00. There is a non-refundable application fee of $500. If the application for accreditation is approved the $500 application fee will be credited to the accreditation fee. If you are already a Rating Provider there is a onetime application fee of $500 to become a Home Energy Audit Provider. If you are already a Home Energy Survey Provider there is no cost for becoming a Home Energy Audit Provider.
Part One: Applicant Information
Legal name and full address of home energy audit program. This name and address will appear on the Certificate of Accreditation and the national register of accredited home energy audit quality assurance providers that is used by utilities, government agencies, and sponsoring programs.

*Please note that all submitted curricula, training materials, examination materials and other supporting documents will be held in strict confidence, as any proprietary materials. However, these materials cannot be returned to the applicant.
1. Please describe your process for compliance with RESNET Home Energy Audit guidelines 2.A. - Performance evaluation of ability to perform accurate Home Energy Surveys and Building Performance Audits in accordance with RESNET guidelines. Please be as specific as possible.
2. Please describe your process for meeting RESNET guidelines - Professional Development.
3. Please describe your process for meeting RESNET guidelines - Home Energy Survey Professional and Building Performance Auditor Testing.
4. Please describe your process for meeting RESNET guidelines - Recertification of Home Energy Survey Professionals and Building Performance Auditors.
5. Please attach an unexecuted copy of your Home Energy Survey Professional/Building Performance Auditor written agreement to this application. Agreements must at a minimum meet the requirements of RESNET guidelines. (Please note that the RESNET Code of Ethics must be attached to the agreement.)
6. Please attach your organization’s Policies and Procedures Manual. The manual must include at a minimum the requirements described in RESNET guidelines.

The Policies and Procedures Manual must include a detailed description of the process, procedures and reports required for an In-Home Energy Survey and Building Performance Audit.

The Policy and Procedures Manual must address how your organization will determine and document that potential home energy survey professional and Building Performance Auditor candidates have the minimum skills required to conduct the In-Home Energy Survey and Building Performance Audits.
