2011 RESNET Building Performance Conference to have Carbon Neutral Footprint
RESNET offset 100% of the
carbon dioxide emissions associated with hosting the annual conference.
This included emissions generated from the facilities and participant
travel. RESNET arranged with the LiveNeutral to offset its carbon
emissions. LiveNeutral was created to foster education and action around
the imminent problems of greenhouse gas emissions. The organization
helps make it easy for individuals and organizations to reduce their
greenhouse gas emissions directly and through participating in
innovative market-based solutions to global climate change. RESNET
offset the emissions by purchasing energy efficiency certificates.
